Charles River Labs virtualized business critical help desk application that typically handles 100-200 tickets per day. First application to prove concept of public cloud deployment of business critical applications. Business impact was mainly for Capex reduction: capping internal datacenter spending and to deploy new systems on the public cloud & migrate others over the next few years. Able to co-exist with existing VMware environment and taking existing apps to public cloud without re-writing.
